Disaster Strikes!

Early this morning an Earthquake hit Japan, causing a catastrophic Tsunami to spread across many countries. Some of which are anticipating it's deadly arrival.

So many people have died due to Mother Nature's fury. It saddens me greatly.

There are so many disasters on this Earth happening over and over again, so many people are getting hurt. But what about us? The animals?

Trapped in cages, tied to post's. We have an unfair disadvantage for survival. If there's an Earthquake, volcano, tsunami, or any other disaster would you save us? See an animal in need and if you can't take us with you, let us out, let us fend for ourselves. Rather than being stuck to anticipate our doom.

There are lots of stories of animal's who have risked their neck's to save their owners lives, just luck at these brave animals:

Buddy the dog saves his owner!

Cat Saves owners life!

Rabbit saves owners from Fire!

Horse saves farmer from fire!

Many animal's make sacrifices day after day for your well-being. Whether it be providing you your food, or working along side the police.

Please if disaster ever strikes spare a thought for the animal's on this Earth. We need saving too!

Now let's spare a moment to pray that minimal life is taken this day. If possible, think of the disaster's that could strike to your home, and how you can give your pet's and family the best chance of survival!

Just a day in the life...

Hey there!

It's nice to see a friendly face every once in a while. Thank you for bothering to read my blog. I stole the laptop from my mom because I want to get the word out there for the whole of bunkind.

Anyway, how rude of me. My name is Dawn. I'm as beautiful as there can be and I'm a house rabbit. I spend my day's eating hay, pooping all over, redecorating the walls (such awful colour scheme ;) ) and most of all I enjoy my naps behind the washer/dryer. Now it's a pleasure to meet you.

Each day I will do my best to update on how the rescue is doing, and pick a subject to cover, such as worming, bonding etc. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I'm already running a website, so check it out:
The Bunny Bible

The rescue seems to be going rather slowly. There are Twelve Rabbits up for Adoption, Three on the waiting list and One who is reserved waiting on collection. Big Difference to the other month when we had over twenty!

Mom and Dad have just finished with some new hutch's and a new set-up for the rescue. Though they're not permanently finished. Mostly because my sisters are still running riot in the outhouse, whilst their aviary is being built. Here's a photo of our set-ups.

We have big plans for the future, but we're just taking one small step at a time.

I don't have time for a topic today folks. But I will share some photo's of a lonely lil' boy called Max who's still looking for a home!

Max says 'I'm not very old, I've not even had my first birthday yet! But I hope by my first birthday this Autumn I will be spending it with a loving forever home and if I'm lucky a wifeybun of my very own!'

Thank you for reading, will update as often as possible!
